In order to obtain his Guild Certified Framer accreditation, Joe underwent a comprehensive training programme. He was a recipient of the Larson-Juhl Scholarship in 2022, which allowed him to participate in a two-day intensive training course. This course was conducted by Ian Kenny, and Jo & Alec Palmer at The Framing Lot‘s workshop in Dawlish, Devon.

In June 2023, Joe travelled from Sheffield to Scotland to take his GCF examination at The Fine Art Trade Guild’s Scottish examination centre, Ian Kenny Framing‘s workshop in Larkhall. His work was of exceptional quality, and he achieved a perfect score of 100% in the written exam. We were incredibly impressed with Joe’s skill level and are excited to see the outstanding work he will produce in the future.
