Jo and Alec Palmer (The Framing Lot) spent a busy day at Kings Stationers in Hastings in late September 2023. An established business of over 100 years in the town, they’ve added bespoke framing to their repertoire during the past year.
Jo and Alec spent time reviewing equipment and techniques, with plenty of discussion on all important business matters too. They have a superb set up, a very spacious workshop and an excellent and enviable selection of art materials and supplies on hand. Bespoke framing was a natural progression and is one that we have no doubt will continue to be very popular as that side of their business develops.
Alec and Jo together bring 50 years of bespoke framing and business experience to their training sessions: each has their own specialisations and together they provide a great all round package as Guild Accredited Trainers. It was great to share just a small part of that with Roger and Dee in the time we were there as they look to widen their bespoke framing skills. We look forward to working with them again in the future.
Alec and Jo are both fully qualified bespoke framers via the Fine Art Trade Guild. They each hold all four available UK professional trade qualifications, are Guild Accredited Examiners and Guild Accredited Trainers.
