New Trainer And Student Aprons

At the 2023 Skill Share Weekend in Northern Ireland, each member of pictureframingtraining.com proudly wore their new trainer workshop apron. Each apron features the three Guild Certified Framer Advanced qualification logos, arranged in an overlapping design and created specifically for us by our digital guru, Colin Wood.

Experienced - The Picture Framing Training team

For Advanced qualifications each GCF roundel features a different coloured ribbon, with purple denoting Textile Framing, yellow for Mount Design & Function and green for Conservation Framing. The six trainers are part of a small handful of framers worldwide to have ever achieved the status of holding all available qualifications from the art and framing industry’s UK based trade body, The Fine Art Trade Guild. The team felt it was a lovely touch to have aprons that reflected that achievement for each of us to wear in our own framing workshops and when we are running our training sessions. It echoes the design that Steven McKee wore on his work outfits. Steven was proud to have been the first person worldwide to have achieved that fully qualified status, and was the inspiration behind pictureframingtraining.com.

And now we have aprons for our students too! Each workshop apron can be worn during training sessions in each location and features an embroidered version of our pictureframingtraining.com logo.

We were delighted to see them have their first outing during the GCF Scholarship training held in November 2023. The aprons are ready to be used by students at each of the four locations around the UK and the Netherlands.
