One Day Course

This day course is designed to teach you how to support and display sports shirts. If you bring one with you, you will take away a fully supported shirt which will be ready to frame. This module is intended for those who are already experienced in the use of framing and mount cutting equipment.

Course Overview

  1. Fabric identification and problem solving at the design desk
  2. Understanding the right materials to use for methods of support
  3. Template & former design and cutting
  4. Methods of support discussion – including
    • Stitching
    • Pinning
    • Attaching to back mount
  5. Handling delicate fabrics
  6. Storage prior to framing
  7. Different glazing options, how to give advice and recommendations
  8. Framing options
    • Spacing
    • The importance of having enough room to present the item correctly
    • Choosing a suitable moulding profile
  9. Practical application: supporting the shirt on the former
  10. Discussing mount package construction
  11. Incorporating other items within the design
  12. Q & A

What you need to know

This course is available in: All locations.

Courses are available throughout the year, and are arranged between you and your chosen trainer.
Course Times – 9:30am – 4:30pm including breaks.

Bring with you: sport shirts or similar items that you wish to discuss, a notebook & pencil, any other preferred small tools and your lunch.

Cost: £525 inclusive of VAT where applicable.

The course is designed to be delivered on a one-to-one basis. Subject to agreement, a second person from the same business can attend at a supplement of 50%.
